InkdPunks
Dot-matrix punks in Ink purple. A homage to Based Punks by @traf & @displaydriver, living on Kraken's Ink.
No utility.
No roadmap, no promises. Just 4,242 cool Ink PFPs with OG punk vibes. Wear one or don't.
Built on Based Punks
InkdPunks is a homage to Based Punks on Base, created by @traf and @displaydriver. Based Punks reimagined CryptoPunks as dot-matrix art. We took that dot-matrix language to Ink: the same large and tiny dots, redrawn in Ink purple, with Kraken-born archetypes of our own.
βThe best art doesn't just inspire collectors. It creates more artists.β
10 archetypes, 4 tiers
Every punk has one archetype, one background and up to four traits from a pool of 65. No two punks are the same. The numbers below do not add up to 4,242 on purpose. The rest are surprises.
Placed dot by dot
24Γ24 dot matrix
Each punk is drawn on a 24Γ24 grid with a 2-cell border. Two dot sizes: large for solid shapes, tiny for stipple and shading. Every trait is placed by hand.
Two perspectives
Most punks look 3/4 to the right, like the originals. Pepe and the Gorilla face you straight on. Every trait is fitted to each head, so a hat sits on a skull as well as it sits on a frog.
Some of them flicker
Mostly still, sometimes alive: Alien glitches, Inkling sparkles, Zombie teeth twitch, lasers blink, smoke drifts and chart candles print live. Pure SVG, no video.
